Abstract

This Scientific Initiation research has as its goal the complete translation into the Portuguese language of the twenty four-epigram corpus associated to the name of the Hellenistic poet Anyte of Tegea, who would have been in activity throughout the first half of the third century BC. It is also proposed that the translation of the epigrams be accompanied by the notes of analytical, interpretative and - when appropriate - comparative nature between the poet's corpus', her influences and the ones influenced by her writing. The research aims to expose and analyze the poetic production of Anyte, considering its insertion in a Greek and Hellenistic epigrammatic genre tradition, known by the transition between continuity and creativity, in order to examine the poet as one of the responsible for the development of the epigram in its literary form.
