Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to study the interaction between cationic derivatives of chitosan and DPPC. The synthesis will be carried out employing low molecular weight chitosans to obtain derivatives containing different hydrophilic and hydrophobic contents. The self association study of these derivatives in aqueous solution will be carried out in the second step as well as the study of interaction between the derivatives and of DPPC/ PG membrane models.
