Parental practices in front of the first experiences of children black with racism

Abstract

This research has as objectives to build a substantive theory about the role of media narratives and interactions in the parental practices and processes in front of the first experiences of Brazilian black children with the racism, to understand how the media narratives with expressions counterintuitive, in relation to stereotypes, have repercussions on relations and experiences of Brazilian black families and to deepen the meanings about the dynamics and fundamental social or psychosocial processes that are to protect the psychic health of black children from the expressions of racism in Brazil. The theoretical framework to guide the reflections of the knowledge elaborated were Symbolic Interactionism, the of Mediatization studies and parenting studies. The Constructivist Grounded Theory is the Methodological approach adopted. The results of this research enabled the articulation of the representative theoretical model Parental practices in front of the first experiences of children black with racism. (AU)
