Abstract

The gastrointestinal tract is an extremely complex ecosystem that involves interactions between the host and the diverse microbial species that colonize this habitat. In a healthy fetus, the gastrointestinal tract is a sterile environment, having its colonization already during the trial of birth. Diverse factors influence the trial of intestinal colonization in the first months of life, as: kind of birth and of food and the use of antibiotics early. In adults, the majority of the bacteria found is belonging to the genus Bacteroides/Parabacteroides (Bacteroidetes) and Clostridium (Firmicutes) and deserve attention by his biochemical diversity and pathogenic potential. Actually the obesity is considered one of the main illnesses of public health and its relation with the intestinal microbiota passed it to be discussed in the last 30 years. In the last decades Brazil comes suffering a transition in the nutritional state of his population, in that is observed a decline of the malnutrition and increase of the obese population and with overweight. It knows itself that infants with overweight are more inclined to they will become adults with overweight or obese and, like this, one of the most efficient forms of be prevented the obesity in adults is through interventions during the infancy. The aim of this work is analyzer some microorganisms that composes to endogenous intestinal microbiota of normal weight infants and obese and/or overweight in school age. Fecal samples will be collected of 30 normal weight children and 30 obese and/or overweight children to isolation and identification of species of the genus Clostridium, Bacteroides and Parabacteroides. Beyond the isolation of the microorganisms will be carried out a comparative and quantitative evaluation of the presence of: Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides vulgatus, Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, P. distasonis Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli, Bifidobacterium sp., Lactobacillus sp. Eubacterium sp., Enterococcus sp. and Clostridium sp. between the children analyzed. With the results obtained intends to observe like the composition of the microbiota can vary between the diverse nutritional states
