Abstract

The plan includes the study of the association between the consumption of ultra-processed foods and diet quality in the population of the UK. The plan includes three main activities: 1) participation in the analyzes of the UK module the thematic project on the association of the consumption of ultra-processed foods with nutritional profile indicators related to the risk of obesity; 2) carrying out analyzes on the same module on the association of the consumption of ultra-processed foods with dietary characteristics related to a wide range of chronic diseases and nutritional deficiencies; and 3) discussion of the results aiming at improving the current UK food guides.
