Abstract

Handball as a collective sport has been the object of study in the field of Sport Pedagogy, and it can be taught through different approaches, linked or not to official regulations of entities such as federations and confederations. In this sense, it is understood that these official regulations give identity to the sports training process in each country. However, the absence of guidelines by these entities can lead to contradictory strategies for teaching handball in the same age group. The objective of this research project is to identify and compare the guidelines for the training of handball players in the international context. For this, a documentary research will be carried out, in which the guidelines that underlie the teaching of handball will be consulted in the countries whose teams have reached the best rankings of the last international championships (men and women). The data will be collected from a spreadsheet previously prepared, among the countries classified in the first twelve positions of the World and European championships. Thematic analysis will be used for data analysis. It is assumed that the confederations and federations that organize their process of training players based on sampling in young teams and in interactionist approaches are better classified in the analyzed competitions.
