Abstract

The handball is a team sport characterised by the complex interactions between players and teams during the game, from which emerges specific tactics and strategies. The contents of the handball (technical elements, tactical elements and game systems) are highlighted according to specific teams (established by age group). Throughout the process of development of the handball player, the contents should be approached from general to specific. In this way, the aim of this research project is to identify and analyze the contents teached by coaches of the two main Leagues of São Paulo State in under-14 and under-16 handball teams. For this, we opted for qualitative research, with semi-structured interviews with coaches, to identify their speeches about offensive and defensive contents in each team. The interviews will be transcribed verbatim and tabulated according to the collective subject discourse (DSC) method.
