Abstract

This proposal aims to develop a pluri-epistemic, multi-situated, and collaborative knowledge building process in the intersection between disciplines (anthropology, public health, and the arts) and knowledge that are exogenous to our modern disciplinary regime. We seek to understand, connect, and empower knowledge of cosmopolitics of care mobilized by public health alterities and exorbitances, with special attention given to gender and sexuality in intersectional and decolonial perspectives, as well as to understand potential impacts of said cosmopolitics and knowledge on the Collective/Public Health with regard to processes pertaining to the Brazilian End of the World. This proposal brings continuity to a long-lasting relationship with the Amazon, particularly with the state of Amazonas and its transborder complex, making way for connections with other (trans-)border territorialities and deterritorialization processes that are characteristic of the Anthropocene. The proposal can be divided into five portions. The first three are contained to situated networks, derived from the JP-1 grant and from my trajectory as a researcher (indigenous women, marginalized gay and trans youth in the Amazon, and sex workers); the fourth seeks to open this proposal to new connections and networks by devoting attention to ostensive deterritorialization processes linked to urban peripherization and environmental disasters; and the fifth portion is a response to the need for more tight-knit dialog with the Collective/Public Health field. To develop this proposal, we will carry out ethnographic studies with the given networks, hold Knowledge Meetings and Future-building Workshops, and produce a Transmedia Platform. Finally, we will create a line of research and a research center under the Department of Health, Life Cycles, and Society of the University of São Paulo's School of Public Health. (AU)
