Abstract

The group "Writings on New Worlds" has emerged as one of the results of a previous research group located at the Centre for Documentation and Support of Historical Research (CEDAPH), laboratory linked to the Department of History and the Post-Graduated Program in History of UNESP (Franca). Initially focused on the development of digital databases of serial documents of interest to the history of cultural constructions in Portuguese, the group realized the importance and necessity of verticalize discussions concerning the theoretical framework used to interrogate the series of documents it had created. Therefore, a broad program of studies were established focusing on two of the main theoretical lines that guided the research of the group's members - post-structuralism of Michel Foucault and Richard Rorty's pragmatism - and broadened its composition, incorporating researchers faced with similar problems. The result is the proposal that the reader will find below, in which we seek; firstly, to define the main outlines of a plan of study that intends to establish procedures to investigate a not founded and not representational historical approach, the construction of moral patterns, a history of the ways of production of truth in Portuguese. On the other hand, and in addition, the developments that we intend to implement in the new database under organization will be explained. (AU)
